 About the featured speaker

Jennifer Joy Freyd, PhD is the founder and president of the Center for Institutional Courage. She is also professor emerit of psychology at the University of Oregon, adjunct professor of psychiatry and behavioral sciences in the School of Medicine, faculty fellow at the Clayman Institute for Gender Research, and an affiliated faculty member of the Stanford University Women's Leadership Lab. Freyd is a widely published, decorated, and renowned scholar known for her theories of betrayal trauma, institutional betrayal, and institutional courage.
